LogiSphere now supports a next tilt/pan device: the Creative Live! Motion.
Changes for the Logitech Orbit / Sphere
I changed the position grid from the Logitech Sphere's grid 62x22 to a virtual grid of 200x200.
Absolute positioning takes place in the virtual grid,
positions -100,-100 to 100,100 can be chosen.
Internally, the Sphere support uses a minimum step size of 5 virtual units
-> the Spheres grid is 40x40 (bigger minimal pan steps, smaller tilt steps)
All positions are reached with no more than 2 moves
(one pan, one tilt move)
-> much faster positioning
Relative positioning is still in the cameras steps
The drivers zoom is now supported
Creative Live! Motion
the virtual grid is the same as for the Sphere (that's the point of the virtual grid  )
The Live! Motion supports a grid of 14 pan and 6 steps from end to end,
the move resolution is quite limited compared to the Sphere - but hey! at least there is support now...
Driver level zoom is also supported.

known bug
A vertical more from +100 to 0 results in a vertical move to -100
This will be fixed in the next version, which should be released mid month
Question
The bugfix for the bug above will be released as 1.5.4
It will go out to all LogiSphere users.
As LogiSphere now supports twice the hardware for tilt/pan, I think a bigger version step is
justified.
If no more bugs are found, I think I will release this to the 'world' as 1.6
What do you think?

I have serious connection problems with the new 1.5.3 version.
When I start the webserver it gives a message "incorrect connection request"
With version 1.5.2 I do not have these problems.

Had an error when closing the chat window tonight.
It resulted in a error dialog with the following in a detail result box.

I've found something :
When i disable the password : Everything is OK ...
And when i put the password : it doesn't work...
So, perhaps the problem comes from here, in any case, on my computer ! I hope it will not be the same for you !

I cannot reproduce this error here, no matter how often I open and close the chat window.
Is it a one time error on your end or does it occur every time? |

Hi Stefan
The way this began was I closed the chat window instead of disabling chat.
Then I minimized the program to system tray. Then I returned the program to full size the error existed.
It continued this even after I restart the program a few times.
In order to eliminate the error from returning I had to disable chat and save settings. Then with a restart the program the error went away.
I'm at my work right now, but I will try and reproduce it this evening when I get home. |
