BUT several months ago the camera would freeze for several hours and then it might restart or only show the large eyeball when accessed. I just recently had the time to play around with it and have found that when the camera is running only in the Logitech camera program is will run without any problem but if I open Abelcam and start the camera, a few hours is all I get without crashing. Unplugging the camera and removing from Abelcam then re adding will start it up fine. I have removed and done a clean install of the Logitech software without and difference. The computer is only used for my Wundergound weather station and the camera. Security is the only other program running. The problem is, I have 11 buttons that need commands but the AbelCam server software only seems to allows me to add 10. I tried to directly add an eleventh command to Config.xml but it does not show up in the command list and gets erased when I save the server configuration. Is there a way to increase the number of commands I can add on the commands dialog through some parameter, registry hack, etc? It was showing as activated but was not uploading photos. -I tried clicking on Configure but the configure dialog would not open. -I deactivated it, saved Abelcam settings and then tried to reactivate it however now I get the error: "Plugin did not start correctly, may have to be configured first." However the configure button is disabled so there is no way to configure it. Configuration was made via "add cam" with the "slide show capt. dev.". Path to the slide show pict. was set - nothing special. After activating the slide show "use cam" in the cam config menue all works great. But if Abelcam is (manually) stopped and restarted again only the webcam interfaces/devices are online. The slide show interface "refuses" to be activated automatically as well. It is also not possible to activate it manually by checking the "use cam/interf." button. Workaround for the moment: I "remove" the Cam (=slide show) and add it again in the cam menue. Then it works great again. (As I mentined before: It's a really nice feature). But no success. Info about cam: IP-Adress set to fixed 192.168.0.109 and Port 80; the mjpeg stream is named: "http://ip-adress/mjpg/video.mjpg". The streamname was confirmed by Edimax-support. Also the stream can be used in Moz.Firefox, Chrome and FLV-mediaplayer. No problem to monitor the cam-stream. No login required for the cam - but of course I tested it with admin login, guest login.... Info about Abelcam: Rel. 4.2.8 Pro with 4 Cam-licenses. Already used with 2 USB-cams and one IP-cam (manufact. Foscam / 7-link). I tried to add the new IP-cam and doubled checked the info from the tutorial. Did it with add new cam / Web Video (Interface IPCamera) then configuration filled in the URL (s.a. http://adree/full streamname) tried it with and without username/passwords tried it with/without adding a port numer to the ip-adress and select "motion JPEG" as source (tried it of course also with JPEG (sync or async). After selecting "test" the Error-msg "No frames received" appears... Any idea?
