The problem is, I have 11 buttons that need commands but the AbelCam server software only seems to allows me to add 10. I tried to directly add an eleventh command to Config.xml but it does not show up in the command list and gets erased when I save the server configuration. Is there a way to increase the number of commands I can add on the commands dialog through some parameter, registry hack, etc? Thanks

Displaying multiple ftp images

Does anyone know how I can display the latest 5 images that have been uploaded to my web site via ftp. I used to be able to do something similar with a product called Tincam that renamed the images as they were uploaded. I bought a second AbelCam license for the second PC. I would like to have all of the webcams running on a single webserver, which it looks like is possible (with all four webcams showing up on the copy of AbelCam on the webserver PC?).I found the diagram of the network on the AbelCam website here, but I didn't really see any detailed instructions for setting it up.I guess I also need to buy a Network Agent license, but it is not obvious to me what I do with it. Is it another program that runs on one of the PCs, or is it something that plugs into one of the instances of AbelCam? Which PC do I run the network agent on (or do I run it on both). What configuration do I do for the second PC? Do I set it up as a second web server also? I am assuming not, but I'm not sure. Do I have to give it a port number? Do I have to tell the main webserver an IP address to find the second PC?Thanks

Cameras not restarting after resuming from sleep/hibernate

I'm having a problem with the newer versions on Windows 7. Start minimized works perfectly BTW. My cameras are not being restarted after resuming from sleep or hibernate. This happens both in as an application or as a service. The messages window shows "Suspending" and stops the cameras, and it shows "Resuming" but the cameras are not started. The selfcheck feature does not correct it. Restarting the app is the only remedy. This seems to have started a few versions ago. Rolled back to February 17 release and works as expected. Thanks for the support.Erik

Windows Mobile Clinet don't work from 2012 -what the autor is going to do ?

This is the question to the author of AbelCam.As you know the Mobile Windows Client stopped working from the beginning of 2012, because you set that the valid time to the end of 2011.It was very helpful client for me - so please tell - Is it a big problem to just change the valid time? or that else I can use ? Using for browser is totally useless -especially PDA mode

Windows 7 Start minimized

I've been using Windows 7 and have installed Abelcam on a few occasions on different installs and I can't get the program to start minimized. I've checked the config.xml and it's correct, and I've tried running Abelcam in different compatibility modes (xp service pack 2 and 3) and I've also run it as an administrator. I cannot get the program to start minimized to the task bar or to the tray. I've noticed this behavior since Abelcam 4.0. I've run it as a service, but would prefer to run abelcam minimized in the tray. Thanks for your help.Erik

Updating from ver. 3.2.3 to 4.2.6

I need to download the old 3.2.3 msi package again, to uninstall 3.2.3 so that 4.2.6 can update. Please send me a download link.I run the software as a service, and can see that the webcam is down. My main computer is a Vista OS. I updated AbelCam to 4.2.6 and it worked just fine.I then tried updating my XP laptop. On that installation, it detected that .net framework 3.5 was not installed. I checked the box to install .net framework 3.5 and it installed ok. But when I finished and installed Abelcam and the requisite programs, it would not run. I get a very long popup error that said exception System.IO.File Not Found, could not load file or assembly along with a full page of cryptic register stuff.I repeated this a number of times, by first removing the .net framework and reinstalling. Same results.I then went to another XP system I have and exactly the same thing happened. It detected .net framework 2 (SP1) and I checked the install .net framework 3.5. Same results exactly.Very strange taht I can't get 4.2.6 installed on any of my XP machines. I even tried installing .net framework 3.5 directly from Microsoft, and still get the same results.Any idea why I can't get this to run on my XP machines? I did have a previous version of AbelCam running just fine on these XP machines.

AbelCam to show TV (cable box output)

I was just adding some additional cameras and noticed something I didn't recognize. Turns out it's the cable box input to my PC. So, just for fun, I added ADDED a Camera, to show the TV. Seems to work fine, except there is no audio.I can display TV with audio on my computer so I know the connection works fine. How does one get the audio to work with AbelCam, from a TV source? Or is that even possible. Thanks

Lorex Wireless IP Camera (LNZ4001i)

I was going to add this to my thread on the Panasonic C230A but thought it's better to have two different models in different threads, especially since the original thread had the model number in it.Anyway, I abandoned my attempt to get the Panasonic to wirelessly connect to my network. It just wouldn't work. The Lorex LNZ4001i conneceted via ethernet and wireless, with no difficulty. I'm not crazy about thier software and want to use it with AbelCam. However, I can't seem to configure AbelCam to make it work.Perhaps I'm not setting it up correctly. When I click ADD camera, I'm given a few types. I don't specifically see anything for the camera. So, I assume I'll have to treat it like a web vide. So, I selected the Web Video option and IP Camera from the list. Is this correct so far? I add the URL that I use with the Lorex SW, and specify the port. Then, while in the configuration window, there is a button to TEST the connection. That's where I get stuck. It always fails to connect so I can't add the camera.I must be missing something here. I know this isn't much information but can someone walk me through this barney-style? Assuming I get past the first problem, I can setup my camera to send MJPEG, MPEG4. When I'm using the Lorex SW, only MPEG4 sends audio, so that's what I'm using for now. Is it normal that MJPEG wouldn't send audio? What compressions does AbelCam support that also include audio?

Panasonic BL-230A - Will it work with AbelCam?

I'm looking at the Panasonic BL-230A wireless (wi-fi) WebCam. Any ideas why Windows has screwed things up.A real pain, I do not have time to investigate. Is it safe to uninstall completely, don't want to risk reconfig all the cameras (Once it did wipe all my settings, long time ago, but been cautious ever since)Thanks I/A.

PHP Sessions not working?

It seems that a new session ID is being generated every time you load the page. I want to password protect some of the cameras on the webserver. If I activate protetion it blocks viewing OK.I view my cameras via Ablecam in a variety of ways, some have a seperate password entry and this has tended to work.My Android app even works fine like this. However I have a Win XP PC IP viewer "ViewerOne" but if I put the password in its seperate box it does not work. Its there a entry I can put in the main source linee.g. Currently: 192.168.2.1:7777/current0.jpgwith seomthing like I use for another viewing & camera apphttp://192.168.2.123:7777/videostream.asf?user=admin&pwd=passwordAlso looking at the Stats, what does "other" mean. Also on the Stats, in the top table I can see ONLY my IP (local &/or www) & image & stream information but in the country below some for US & Italy & France.I am in UK.Is this relevant of could it simply be something like DynDNS checking my DNS.Also, I have asked before but still can't quite understand bandwidth issues. I do NOT yet have a problem but am going to set up more permannat viewing over the www (not local) I am trying to prevent overloading my rather poor upload speed (370 kbps, 48KB ps) However so far Abel cam webserver does not seem to effect it & I can't work out why. I can have 1 camera viewing via the www on 640x480 and it is showing 3-5 fps. This surely is 40-80 KB or more of images per second, which should use ALL my upload but if I run a ADSL speed test as the same time it still shows full 369 kbps upload and the images being shown are not interupted at all.It seems hard to test real world situations, I use VOIP quite a bit and can be flacky at the best of times, with or without camera running so would be nice to have a good gauge of the impact of Abelcam Webserver. I do have QOS set up as best as poss.Sorry so many questionsThanks I/A.

FTP upload

Hello,I'd like to enable the ftp upolad, I read the instruction but I wrong something because it doesn't work....:-(I'd like to upload to my host a picture every 30 seconds, and I like to maintain all the picture I upload.herebelow the setting I input, can you tell me if they are ok?---------------------------------------FTP ACTIVE: YESFTP FILENAME: USE TIME FOR FILE NAME: ONFTP HOST: (MY HOST NUMBER)FTP PORT: 21FTP DIRECTORY: wwwroot/abelFTP USERNAME: (MY USERNAME)FTP PASSWORD: (MY PASSWORD)SAVE ON WEB ACCESS: OFFSAVE WITH CAPTION: ONOFFLINE IMAGE TO UPLOAD: OFF-----------------------------------then:.- can you tell me what is option "Save on web access" and "Offline image to upload" ?.- in the Wiki in FTP upload I see "Test settings - click on Test Configuration to see if your settings work.",but I need to configure my webcam from my remote computer, via web with server-admin and ther's not the Testconfiguration button, ther's a way to check the configuration ?thanks for your help.
