I Can see camera and it will zoom but not PT. On the Zoom/Face Tracking tab the zoom will work but PT arrows will not work. Is there a way to configure AbelCam to only control the PTZ without accessing the video? I'm setting up a videoconference system with Skype and a Logitech Orbit AF. I want remote users to be able to control the PTZ on the camera, but I want the video to go through Skype. I don't want the video to go through the web server (I don't even want the web server to acquire video). I can remote control the camera, and sometimes I can get the video through Skype, but sometimes Skype cannot access the video (in the video settings, Skype displays "Cannot capture video. The camera may already be in use.". If, in the AbelCam camera configuration, I uncheck "Use Cam", then Skype can access the camera and I can make a video call, while still remotely controlling the PTZ through the web server. However, if I redisplay the web page, the remote control selection disappears from the web page, but I can continue controlling the PTZ in the Java applet. It seems that if I initiate the Skype video call before I start AbelCam, then everything works fine, but that seems cumbersome and error-prone for the users. I purchased a Pro License and started testing the setup and modifying the Html pages to satisfy myself the system would work for my client's 35 properties. They mostly have Windows XP at this point but that is changing. I am trying to picture their response to me saying "Your computer at that property is dead and we are getting a new one but your office and parking lot cameras will not work anymore." Yes, you can still get computers with the XP downgrade now but how much longer will that last? I started testing the FTP Plugin which worked fine. I am now uploading images using the standard FTP option to my own web site and don't need the plugin. But, I can't deactivate the FTP Plugin. When I start up I get the pop-up message "AbelFTPPlugin - The live time of this plugin is up look for a more recent version." When I try to deactivate it, nothing happens. If I save and exit, when I return the box remains checked. Is there somewhere in the config files where I can manually deactivate or remove this plugin? I would like the Abelcam to have the ability to save local video files (AVI/WMV/MP4/MOV) in any of the selected formats based on certain triggers (time/motion detection/etc). Flash based video streaming or recording would also be useful since FLV is an effective streaming format over limited bandwidth, especially in case when Abelcam is accessed via Mobile based devices. An option to auto delete/archive the videos/pictures based on their time/date would also be nice so the hard disk eventually does not gets stuffed up from continuous recording. These are some feature which I can see in other comparable programs, however AbelCam also has its own uniqueness. This for Video save an e-mail: - I like the new feature for having separate Video-File. But now I get so many of them. I wish I could set a timer of "silence" with define separate events. So if I have motions with small gaps like 1 minute every recording should be in the same file. Only when the time between the events is longer than the defined time a new video file gets created. - The same is for the e-mail feature. If I have a setup with a office cam and there is someone "working" (the config is: max 1 mail every 0.2h) 5 mails per hour get sent out. But what I would like is that only one gets sent out when the person arrives. Only if (for example) the person left for 30 minutes the system gets "re-armed" an another mail is sent when the person returns. I think both are easy to implement. For the e-mail - feature the existing value (for mails every xx h) should be replaced by these re-arm timer between motions. For video save it would be new.
