I have my camera set up and everything, and i want it to send me an email, and maybe a picture, whenever it detects motion. i clicked on the email button under the motion detection tab in configuration, and i put in my email address, MAShanahan@comcast.net, and the mail server (what i think) mail.comcast.net, and the other stuff but it always fails? HELP MEH OUT

I suppose the mail server should be the same like in your outlook(express or whatever).
So something like pop3.comcast.net or smpt.comcast.net. Look out for a description of your provider how to setup an E-mail account in outlook.

an easy way to find the smtp server is as follows:
- Start/Run/cmd
c:\> nslookup
Standardserver: ns.whatever.dom
Address: v.w.x.y
> set type=mx
> comcast.net
[...]
comcast.net MX preference = 5, mail exchanger = mx1.comcast.net
comcast.net MX preference = 5, mail exchanger = mx2.comcast.net
[...]
> exit
C:\> exit
-> use mx1.comcast.net as your smtp server |
