Hi ! Maybe a problem.. 0.9.1 starts up OK for me, but if I disable and then re-enable the web server
I get an error about my picture size is 32K, and I should make it smaller, or change the quality.
My settings are 320x240x24,0 (I dont know what the other x12,-1 mean) but changing them make
no difference. If I quit and restart, the program doesn't notice.

My saved files are indeed 32K, so I should turn down the quality (currently 80%)

Thanks, Pete

Hi Pete

you discovered a feature of the LogiSphere server, not the software you use.

When you get listed, it verifies the picture size to make sure it can stream at a good frame rate.
If the size of a single picture exceeds 30kb, it won't list your camera.
Depending on what your camera is pointing at, the size varies.

320x240xX,Y
X is color depth - the higher the value, the bigger the number of different colors, the less effective the JPEG compression
Y no idea what that is...

I use 320x240x12 and 40% picture quality on all my cameras, and nobody ever complained about picture quality.
This results in pictures < 10kb. Most visitors get the 5fps I have in my setting.

Thanks Stefan, I changed it to your settings, it looka a little more grainy, but probably is faster.

I have a problem with the motion jpeg, but can't recall if I posted it. If I watch with the motion jpeg
java apllications, (absolute position, or without tilt/pan) then I sometimes notice my cam stops
sending pictures to the client. If on the server computer I do a memory check (I was using
lavalys's everest) or something intensive, then I get an error in the log (below.
In my example I started the test at 17.36.47 and it ended at 17.36.52, the same
time as the picture delivery stopped. Its not a very powerful PC, I just wonder if
it fixable..

The problem is the Java Applet which is not prepared for the stream to end and does not do a correct 'hangup'.
It's on my list of things to be fixed...

Thanks for the debug log - maybe it's enough to fix the serving end Frin

From Bill:
Doesn't seem to be a link to 0.9.1 on the members dl page..
As 0.9.1 is the only version available right now (both for public and Members), you can use the link on the download page.

Ok, now 0.9.1 doesn't see my camera on either of the computers I use for testing.. the drop down box for the camera "select camera" is empty.. It has happened on two different computers with two different cameras..
Thanx.
