Hi Stefan, here's my buglist/questions/suggestions for 0.7.9b, testing with IE and firefox..

1) I can't seem to control the sphere. Using the "test device" after autosphering, then the "home" does nothing. At the same time I have the logitech "quick cam" window, which pressing its "home" buton seems to work. Using the javascript
page's arrows dont have any affect from a remote computer.
2) On the options tab, under video server, the second pull down box is empty. I have no sound card. It appears
that the video server doesn't start unless there is one. (I Can't connect to port 8090 at least)
3) once the video server is stopped, it can't be restarted without a program restart.
4) goto /java/tiltpan/index.html watch for a few frames, then click on the back button. the "motion jpeg transfer" doesn't stop
even though after a few 10's of frames, it even looses the IP information.
(same is true for other examples)
5) java/singlejpg/index.html shows incorrect (?) /top- /bottom etc. links when the pic is clicked. (I cant control the cam anyway !)
6) could the "max motion jpeg frames" be set to -1 for example, for continual transmission perhaps ?
7) is there a way to send a "home" command to the cam from the web server ?

its looking better than ever Cheesy

As mailed on Jun 20th, added now to complete this thread

1) The AutoSphere button may choose the wrong entry - controls work if
the correct entry is selected. I have to find a way to figure out
which one is the active Sphere...

2) As the video server is completely integraded in a
library I use, there is not much I can do about it. Maybe there is a
profile which does not require audio.
I will check this out later.

Did anybody else tested the video server option? How does it perform?

3) Pete was unable to restart the video server without restarting the
software. This works for me - any other user experiences there?

4) Motion jpeg used to continue transfering frames even when a
connection was interrupted.
This has been fixed. Now the transfer aborts as soon as there is
no more recipient. However, the java applets seems to linger around
even after a different page is loaded, this has to be fixed before
0.8.0, but I have not looked into it as yet.

5) all internal commands (current.jpg, left-3 and so on) do not depend
on any file system hierarchy, they are valid anythere.
http://localhost:8080/ThisDoesNotExist/But/Still/works/current.jpg

6) no max value for motion jpeg requested: implemented

7) home and absolute positioning are planned features, but
first I'd like to see a stable release before adding more features...

Hi ! After a break, I have gone back to looking at the LogiSphere and the problems I had. After some head-scratching,
and installing a sound card I still had the problems with the video server. I found the problem is with video server
library. I connected t the machine using MS Remote Desktop under XP pro. By default it changes the remote machines
sound funtionality to remove what it has and replace it with a RDP version. By leaving the sound setting so they stay on the remote machine I was able to get the video server working fine without problems. Just something to be aware of when debugging remotely.

Have installed 0.8.1 and posted my cam.

Will tweak it later. Great work.

whilst I'm here, if I call http://localhost:8080/javascript/down-20 the reply is:

processing 10 moves towards /javascript/down

is 10 the max or does it move 20 and only report 10 ?
